Effective August 27, 2026 - Version 1.0.0
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Pact collects, why the information is used, when it may be disclosed, and how you can manage or delete it.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Pact mobile app, its account and challenge services, in-app support, and this website. It does not replace the privacy terms of Apple, Google, or websites you choose to visit outside Pact.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile
We process your email address, an internal user identifier, nickname, avatar, profile text, selected city, account settings, adult declaration, and records showing which policy versions you accepted.
Challenges and activity
We process challenges you create or join, rules, dates, participation status, check-in times, uploaded check-in photos, comments, reactions, visibility choices, decisions, and appeal history.
Community and support
Reports, blocks, appeals, support tickets, attached images, related record identifiers, and messages are processed so that we can respond to requests and operate community controls.
Purchases
For in-app purchases we process product identifiers, store transaction identifiers or purchase tokens, order status, localized price, diamond amount, and wallet history. Apple or Google processes your payment credentials. Pact does not receive or store your full card number or security code.
Device and service data
We process a randomly generated app device key, device type, operating-system version, last-active time, request timestamps, server responses, and limited technical records needed for authentication, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
Data we do not currently collect
Pact does not currently request precise GPS location, contacts, or microphone access. We do not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs in the current release.
3. Camera, photos, and notifications
Camera and photo-library access is requested only when you choose to capture or select a check-in, avatar, or attachment. Selected files are uploaded only after your action. Notification permission, where available, is used for Pact service updates and can be changed in system settings.
4. How we use information
- Create and authenticate your account and restore an active session.
- Provide challenges, photo check-ins, history, community interactions, and visibility controls.
- Process store purchases, maintain wallet and order records, and prevent duplicate fulfilment.
- Handle reports, blocks, appeals, support tickets, data requests, and account deletion.
- Protect the service, diagnose failures, enforce rules, and comply with applicable law.
5. Visibility and user content
Your profile, public challenges, and content you intentionally post publicly can be seen by other Pact users. Participant-only records are shown to the relevant challenge participants. Private settings, support tickets, reports, blocks, consent records, and account-management records are not displayed publicly. Before uploading another person's image or information, make sure you have permission to do so.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We use infrastructure providers to host application records and uploaded files. Apple App Store and Google Play process purchases on their respective platforms. These providers process information only for the relevant service and under their own terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7. Retention and account deletion
We keep information while your Pact account is active and for as long as it is needed for the purposes above. You can permanently delete your account in Settings > Account management > Delete account. After you confirm with your current password, Pact immediately attempts to remove your profile, challenges, participation, check-ins, uploaded files, interactions, wallet and order records, reports, appeals, support records, settings, consent records, device records, and public account index. There is no waiting or revocation period.
If any deletion step fails, Pact keeps you signed in and reports the failure so you can retry. The current authentication service does not expose a client-callable operation for physically erasing its non-public internal identity row. A minimal identity or security record may therefore remain within that service where technically necessary or legally required. It is not used to restore the deleted Pact account; the same credentials may create a new, empty Pact account.
8. Your choices and rights
- Update your profile and visibility settings in the app.
- Change camera, photo, and notification permissions in system settings.
- Request an export or targeted deletion from Settings > Privacy & data.
- Delete the entire Pact account from Account management.
- Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, or another right available under applicable law.
9. Security
We use HTTPS transport, authenticated access, tenant and user isolation, and access controls intended to protect Pact data. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and contact us if you believe your account has been misused.
10. Adults only
Pact is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer the service to children. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to Pact, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, our providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date and version at the top identify the current policy. Material changes will be presented in the app when renewed consent is required.
